Parvesh Chauhan has more than 20 years of broad-based and successful experience in Information management, Advanced Analytics, Information security and privacy, Data Warehousing, Big data solutions, Reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions across Financial, Telecommunications, Utilities and Healthcare industries. He has led, managed, and worked on multiple projects and teams, enterprise-wide initiatives, and large-scale complex Data Management implementations locally and internationally.
Parvesh is experienced at defining, modifying, and implementing analytical solutions and best practices underpinned by data governance, security, and compliance. At ABSA Parvesh has developed automated in-house controls and solutions using the data platforms to combat Fraud and ensure Financial Crime compliance across the group. Current role of Parvesh involves managing data platforms, strategy and data governance for Risk Data Management with a specific focus on Credit, Analytics and data governance including maintaining the external and internal data for the different risk clusters and portfolios across ABSA SA business encapsulating the BSCBS 239 principles. Parvesh completed a second ment at Barclays Bank Mauritius for 6 months in 2016 to enable the data and analytics capability at ABSA Mauritius risk portfolio with a specific focus on the wholesale Credit. Parvesh has also completed the 18-month prestigious ABSA ADI (African Development Initiative – future leaders in the Bank) program.
Parvesh has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from National Institute of Technology, India. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) and holds advanced certifications in SAS – one of the leading Information Management solutions and has implementation experience in Qlik Tech (Qlikview), Power BI, Ab Initio, Informatica, Oracle, SQL, Teradata and Hadoop which are the emerging BI and Data solutions in the market.
