I am a data leader and executive with over 20 years of experience in leading and delivering data-driven initiatives in the financial services industry. Currently, I serve as the Executive of Group Data Services at Nedbank, one of the largest banks in South Africa, where I provide group-wide data services, including high-speed BI, regulatory reporting, and data warehousing.

My core competencies include developing data governance frameworks, implementing data management practices, and executing data and systems transformational programs. I have a proven track record of creating solid foundations for data integrity, quality, and security, enabling businesses to leverage their data assets effectively and achieve strategic outcomes. I also have a keen interest in leveraging emerging technologies, such as cloud computing and advanced analytics, to transform data capabilities and propel digital transformation initiatives.

Throughout my career, I have built and led cross-functional teams, fostered collaboration, and delivered innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive organizational success. Some of my notable career accomplishments include receiving the IBM Global Elite Award for demonstrating unwavering commitment to data analytics excellence, and being recognized as a Global Top 100 Most Innovative Data Leader for exceptional contributions to the field. I am also a frequent speaker, presenter, and moderator at various data and analytics events and forums, sharing my insights and best practices with the wider community.
