Group Head Talent Acquisition & DEIB at ZUTARI
Background

Most organisations don’t have a talent acquisition problem. They have a talent system problem. I work with leaders to design it intentionally. I am an Enterprise Talent Architect focused on how organisations build, structure, and leverage talent to drive performance, not just fill roles. My work sits at the intersection of workforce strategy, organisational effectiveness, and talent architecture.

Across global and emerging markets, and with experience spanning talent acquisition, talent management, and performance management, I have transformed talent acquisition from a standalone function into a strategic business lever embedded within the broader HR value creation system. This includes its integration with talent management, L&D, workforce planning, DEI, reward, organisational design, and overall value creation. My approach is grounded in one principle: talent is not a process, it is infrastructure. I focus on cross-functional system build, designing how talent acquisition operates as part of an integrated system rather than an isolated function.

This includes clarifying handoffs and dependencies across functions such as IT, hiring teams, and onboarding, and aligning people, process, and technology. I design end-to-end talent journeys across recruiter, candidate, and stakeholder experience, supported by data-led decision making that improves hiring quality, speed, and business impact. This has resulted in: • Up to 40% reduction in time-to-fill • 85% optimisation of supplier ecosystems • 90%+ satisfaction across candidate and hiring manager experience • Scalable hiring solutions across industries and geographies Alongside my corporate work, I write and speak on talent, capability, and long-term value creation. I am the author of The Talent Acquisition Manager’s Playbook: Building Strategic Influence in Your First 90 Days and Beyond, a practical guide on repositioning talent acquisition as a strategic, integrated function within the business. I also contribute through HBR Advisory, Forbes BLK, and speaking engagements. As a Career Catalyst, I extend this work beyond organisations, writing and speaking on both career strategy and how organisations design talent systems, while helping professionals think strategically about positioning, promotion, and long-term career capital. Through The Vase, I contribute to platforms that connect leaders and ecosystems to drive inclusive growth across Africa. If you are building talent as a system, or rethinking how your career compounds over time, it will be a valuable conversation.
