Background

Paula believes passionately in the alchemic power of branding, design and technology. Turning the ordinary into the extraordinary and crafting winning go-to-market plans she looks at businesses through an economic lens and uses the power of design and technology to achieve real business results. She is a branding and social network analysis evangelist, firmly believing that social structural networks within organisations have a profound impact on brand performance, and that significant value can be unlocked through the leverage of these networks. She is currently completing a PhD in this regard.

During 2007 Paula was voted the top woman manager in SA by the Corporate Research Foundation’s Leading Managers Awards (and 9th overall in SA). In 2006 she took her brand design agency to number #1, with a double win as Brand Design Agency of the Year awarded by both Financial Mail and FinWeek. During 2016, Paula was voted a Finalist in the MTN Women in ICT – Partnership for Change Awards, in the Innovation category.

She has anchored a TV show, written various articles for both print and online publications and she has delivered addresses at various conferences on a variety of marketing and branding issues, as well as on the role of women in the workplace.
