Senior Manager: Client Experience (CX) & Insights at Africanbank | Award-Winning in Retail Banking Growth (CX · Insights · CVM) | Fintech & Financial Inclusion (PhD Candidate) | Speaker
Background

I am an award-winning retail banking growth leader specialising in Customer Experience, Client Value Management, and Insights, with a focus on fintech infrastructure and financial inclusion at scale.

At African Bank, I currently serve in Client Value Management, Experience and Insights, with enterprise accountability for CVM orchestration, lifecycle growth, digital engagement, and value optimisation across personal banking portfolios. My role integrates CX, CVM, product, data, and governance to drive measurable revenue, retention, and adoption outcomes.

Previously, I owned and delivered nationally critical platforms, including the SASSA SRD voucher disbursement solution, where I led end-to-end solution delivery and customer journeys for grant access at scale. I also led CX design for PayShap, South Africa’s real-time payments rail, ensuring usability, trust, and regulatory alignment for mass-market adoption.

Earlier in my career, I worked across management consulting, fintech strategy, and development finance, designing mobile money launch strategies, digital transformation programmes, and impact measurement frameworks across South Africa and East Africa.

My work has contributed to African Bank’s Global Digital Banker Awards ( 2024 Financial Inclusion and 2025 Digital Onboardin) and a #2 ranking in South Africa’s 2024 Ask Afrika Orange Index for Banking.

Beyond my executive role, I host a financial literacy broadcast across more than 400 bank branches, am a PhD candidate in Development Finance researching fintech adoption and financial well-being in emerging markets, and contribute to fintech and inclusion policy discussions through Y20 South Africa 2025.

My expertise spans CX-and CVM-led growth strategy, payments and fintech platform design, large-scale customer journey transformation, behavioural analytics, and translating research into operational banking outcomes.
